After successful seasons in 2015 and 2016 the Rotary Club of Beccles is holding a competition for the talented musical youngsters of Beccles and the Waveney district.
The cost of entry is £5 and the closing date for entries is 31st November 2016. Entrants must be under the age of 18 on December 31st 2016. Entry forms can be downloaded from Facebook or obtained from Colleen Simpson, or teachers of music.
Two compositions of their own choice are to be performed, showing a variety of mood and expression as well as demonstrating their stage presence. It will give young musicians the chance to perform competitively to an audience and be a rewarding experience for students of music.
All participants will receive a certificate for taking part and the winner will receive a cup. Second and third places will receive medals. Feedback will be given by an accredited adjudicator, Mr Michael Nicholas.

The competition will be held at Beccles Public Hall on Sunday 12th February at 2pm and 7 pm. Tickets cost £6 with under-twelves free, available from Beccles Public Hall in Smallgate, Beccles.
