The success of the Norwich Original Fleamarket at St. Andrew’s and Blackfriars’ Halls, the only monthly antiques fair in the city, continues unabated, with October’s event this Saturday the 27th, boasting almost 100 stalls manned by dealers from Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

“The success of the Fleamarket is very satisfying” says the owner, Helen Leith “and a great testament to the tremendous hard work put in by everyone”.  “Word of mouth definitely plays a big part and I get enquiries from new stallholders every day”.  “We are also seeing buyers coming from further and further afield, including Europe, as the good reputation of the fair continues to grow”.

She added “There really is something here for everyone.   It is a good mid-range antiques fair covering everything from vintage buttons for under a pound to oil paintings for a couple of thousand pounds”.  “The knowledge and experience of the stallholders is tremendous and gives buyers confidence in their purchases, which is why they come back month after month”.

As October is cancer awareness month, the Fleamarket is supporting Cancer Research on the 27th and the charity will have a large stall selling antique and vintage goodies, as well as providing advice and information. And, as always, there is a monthly draw to win vouchers to spend at the fair.
