A garden for all seasons. Flower gardens, formally designed and richly

shrub borders, traditional kitchen gardens with 2 glasshouses.

Arboretum of over 800 different trees, all labelled.

Chris and Panda Allhusen, owners of Bradenham Hall Gardens near Dereham, have reluctantly decided that the forthcoming open day for the National Gardens Scheme on the 7th September will be their last for the foreseeable future. The gardens are renowned for the 800 tree species in the arboretum, massed displays of spring bulbs, roses and much more. Children are always fascinated by the large collection of budgies!

Panda  said “the garden was originally planted between 1952 and 1960 by Chris’s parents and is now mature so we have a number of new projects planned as part of a plan to renovate the gardens. We hope to re-open to the public sometime in the future”

Norfolk NGS County Organiser Fiona Black said “ Bradenham Hall Gardens has opened over 50 times for us in the last 18 years and as a result NGS charities have received significant donations. This is a tremendous achievement and we owe a huge thanks to Panda and Chris Allhusen for their contribution to our vital nursing and caring charities. Additionally Panda has been part of the County volunteer team for eight years and given tireless support to other garden owners in the NGS, she will be missed!”
