Dear friends and colleagues
I normally don’t have any trouble with the first few words of an email, but I’m sure you all realise that with the situation as is, it’s difficult. Chris and I have been following the lock-down order, and we hope that those of you who need and have to, are doing the same.
A lot of you reading this email work for the NHS and our emergency services, many others are doing very responsible jobs to keep us safe, and as far as possible living as normal. There are too many professions to make a list, but from everyone reading this email, a Big, “Thank you”, to all of you for everything you are doing, you’re a credit to this wonderful nation we live in.
Just to remind you, we’ve had to cancel our Carer’s Week 2020 event, but to date we’re still having our Monday, October 5th, 2020 event. I always have, and I still am, an optimist with ambitions, that makes me confident that the October event will go ahead as planned, so what I’m saying is, if you’d like to take part, please fill in the application

and I’ll get back to you with a confirmation email.
If perchance the event has to be cancelled, I will let you know as soon as possible, that’s a promise I hopefully won’t have to keep.
At times I need a “Brick wall”, something I can really on at all times, thank you all for your understanding and being my “Brick wall”.
Things are tougher for most of us than maybe ever before, we can do whatever is necessary, so let’s do it by helping each other, ”Together we are Strong”.

Care for Carers is our name, but at all our events we have so much support that we are able to say that anyone with almost any problem can call in for support, if there is no-one there to help, someone knows where to get the services required.
