Casting the Runes

Casting the Runes

Award winning theatre company Box Tale Soup bring their own special flavour to Downham Market Town Hall and Ovington Village Hall this November, with the seasonal ghost story ‘Casting the Runes’, supported by the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

Just two actors and a haunting soundtrack of original music recreate M.R. James’ classic chiller. In a thrilling race against time, Edward Dunning, an academic specialising in the occult, receives a strangely inscribed strip of paper. Can he unravel the mysterious message before the dark forces at his heel catch up with him? A tale to keep you on the edge of your seat!

You can see ‘Casting The Runes’ at

Downham Market Town Hall
on Thursday 5th November at 7.30pm.

Ovington Village Hall
on Friday 6th November at 7pm.

This event is organised in partnership with Creative Arts East with funding by Arts Council England, Norfolk County Council and the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.
