Healthy Ambitions Suffolk

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk is a local county-wide charity whose aim is to help make Suffolk the healthiest county in the UK by 2028 with a focus on heart health.

The charity is currently open to receiving applications for grant funding from local voluntary community groups and social enterprises who are working with children under 7 years of age and their families.  The grant funding is focusing on giving young children the best possible start in life by addressing inequalities in early physical and emotional development and supporting the development of parenting programmes.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available and applications should clearly demonstrate how the project will improve the health and wellbeing of children under-7 years of age and their families.  Consideration will be given to projects around healthy eating and active lifestyles, reducing stress and anxiety and supporting the development of young children, their parents and guardians as well as expectant mothers.

Applications forms or further information can be obtained from Sue Wright at the Suffolk Foundation on 01473 786917 or email [email protected] or alternatively by contacting Anne Gartley at Healthy Ambitions Suffolk on 01473 786678 or [email protected].

The closing date for receipt of application forms is Thursday 24th January 2013.
