We would like to thank you for helping us to raise the awareness of our recent charity event. With your help the event was well attended & we have been able to raise £583.02 for the Air Ambulance.

I have written a short synopsis of ‘how things went’ if you wish to include as a follow up. I have also attached some photos from the weekend.

Thank you again,

Charity Garden Design Event raises £583.02 for the Air Ambulance

Woodgate Nursery is pleased to announce that its Garden Design & Advice Event on 19th & 20th May 2012 raised £583.02 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Over 2500 visitors were treated to a wonderful weekend of gardening inspiration from professional garden designs through to free advice on all manner of gardening and vegetable growing topics. Mrs Dickerson from Swaffham said:

“We have been coming for the last 2 years and love to see all the show gardens in particular, they just seem to get better and better every year. Plus now that Purdy’s Tea Room has started doing light lunches in its new extension we will definitely be popping into the Nursery more often!”

To add an element of competition, visitors were asked to vote for their favourite show garden, which also entered them into a prize draw for a chance to win up to £75 of Woodgate Nursery vouchers. The winner of the best show garden and the public vote was the team from Woodgate Nursery with their design titled ‘End of the Road’. Kevin Myhill and Gill Gorringe coming second and third respectively. Melvin Wix from Aylsham won the top prize of the prize draw, winning £75 of Woodgate Nursery garden vouchers.

Afterwards the Garden Designers & Exhibitors said they had all been busy on both days offering advice to all levels of gardening ability & thought it had been a very worthwhile event for all. All exhibitors expressed an interest in coming back next year.

Woodgate Nursery would like to thank all the exhibitors, caterers and their staff for their hard work over the two days and everyone who visited for their kind donations.
