Youngsters staying at the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital at NNUH this Easter will receive a special delivery thanks to the generosity of Norwich Scooter Club, Reed Global, Lind Motorrad and personnel from RAF Marham.

On Sunday, March 25th 2018, some of the team from Lind Motorrad BMW motorcycle dealership in Norwich will be arriving on their bikes to drop off toys and gifts for the hospital’s young patients.

Later in the day members of the Norwich Scooter Club will also be arriving to deliver Easter eggs, gifts and donations as part of their annual Easter run.

This will be the 10th year the club has visited and treated the youngsters in Buxton Ward and elsewhere in the hospital to help make sure they have an ‘eggstra-special’ gift during their time here.

Then on Tuesday 27th March, personnel from RAF Marham and will be making their annual delivery of eggs to ensure the youngsters have a cracking Easter.

On 28th March Reed Global will be arriving at the hospital to deliver their gifts for the children.

Louise Cook, NNUH Fundraising Manager commented: “We would like to say a big thank you for this continued support which helps to make Easter special for our patients, it means a lot to have local people supporting our hospital charity.

“It is particularly exciting to receive the RAF Marham visitors during what is the centenary celebration year for the Royal Air Force.”

Emma Dolman, NNUH Buxton Ward Matron said: “It’s lovely for our younger patients to receive these thoughtful gifts and it will be a lovely surprise.

“The staff and children are always delighted to receive these donations and we would like to extend a big thank you for once again thinking of us.

“The Easter eggs really brighten up the day for children on both Buxton Ward and those visiting the Jenny Lind Children’s Outpatients over the Easter period.

“It is never easy to come to hospital, especially for children, and these visits as they are good distractions and help aid in their recovery.”
