Bressingham Steam

Father Christmas, his wife and elves are visiting Bressingham Steam, near Diss in the run up to Christmas, arriving every day by steam car.

As well as meeting Father Christmas, visitors will be able to enjoy a Dad’s Army Christmas at Walmington-on-Sea and take rides on a steam train and Bressingham’s celebrated Victorian steam Gallopers roundabout.

Father Christmas is coming to Bressingham on selected days in December – see main text. Booking is advisable, especially for the weekends as ticket numbers are limited.

Father Christmas has come to Bressingham this December. Rudolph is away on his holidays so Santa decided to use his old faithful Steam Car for the journey to Norfolk.

Booking is advisable and can be made by telephone on 01379 686900, online  or in person at the ticket office. You can also choose to pay on the day (if tickets are still available), Ticket numbers are limited so it’s best to book online.

He and his wife and elves, will be at Bressingham on the 29 Nov, 5/6, 12/13, 19,20,22,23,24 December 2015. Entry times vary depending on the day.

All days but the 24th have entry from 2pm to 5pm close no earlier than 6pm. 13, 19, 20 have an additional 12pm to 2pm entry slot, 24th has an 11am to 2pm entry slot and we will close earlier.

 Why not stay all afternoon and visit Walmington on Sea at Christmas.

This year Santa is including:

  • A ride on the Steam Train on the Nursery Line for everyone
  • For those up to the age of 12 a visit to Father Christmas and a present from him. Rides on the Gallopers are included too.
  • The Dads Army Exhibition will be decorated for Christmas and a Childrens entertainer will be in the Village Hall.

There will be food available at Wyevale if you arrive before Santa is ready and at The Steam Museum too during your visit.

  • Adult (advance) tickets are £10.50#
  • Children (advance) 3-12 £12.50#
  • under 3’s (advance) requiring a present are £6.00#

Tickets on the day will be £1 per person more than in advance.

The loco sheds and gardens are closed at this time of year, we are only open for the Santa experience. We are not open before the advertised time on any given day.

Bressingham Steam & Gardens, reg. charity no. 266374, was founded by the late Alan Bloom in 1961. The Steam Heritage Centre and Gardens are open daily for the main season from April to the end of October.
