The following opportunities are available over the Christmas period.
The Salvation Army are holding a Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day at their premises in Beach Road, Lowestoft. Volunteers are needed on Christmas Eve afternoon to help with preparations and also on Christmas Day to help with the cooking and serving of food.
The Great Yarmouth Open Christmas, for the homeless or those on their own, will be held at the Marina Centre, Great Yarmouth on Christmas Day from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. Volunteers are needed to help during the day.
The Bungay Lions are appealing for local people to come and help Father Christmas do his rounds in Bungay over the two weeks running up to Christmas. Volunteers are needed to man the sleigh, accompany Santa and collect donations from door to door.
Good Neighbour Scheme in Beccles
Volunteers are needed for Suffolk Acre’s Good Neighbour Scheme in the Beccles area.
Tasks include giving lifts, collecting pensions or prescriptions, shopping, form filling, minor domestic repairs, helping with pets and befriending.
