Christmas 2012 is Full – Just the Entertainment to Sort

Plans for the Deepdale Christmas Market are coming together beautifully, with just 2 months to go until the festive weekend on the north Norfolk coast at the beginning of December.

All the stall spaces are full and this year the Market offers over 60 stalls, who will join the permanent shops of Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd December.  Visitors can enjoy a huge range of presents and decorations, plus wonderful food & drink!  What a fantastic way to start the festive season!

“This year sees the return of some our favourite stall holders, such as Lymn Bank Farm Cheese with their delicious smoked and flavoured cheeses, James Buttifant with his entertaining penguin pictures, Brancaster Brewery with their thirst quenching range of real ales and The Mosaic Garden with their ceramic coasters.” said Jason Borthwick, one of the organisers.

“There are lots of new stalls too.  Pick up your Christmas Tree from Coopers, enjoy French products from Serendipity, kit out your kitchen from Jamie at Home and prepare for Christmas dinner with Handmade & Heavenly Christmas puddings!  We’re really pleased with the mix and it should be a great weekend.”

This year’s market will include lots more food.  Naturally Deepdale Café will be offering their wonderful selection of food, but they are joined by Honey’s Mobile Caffe offering hot drinks and the Proper Pizza Co offering delicious pizzas.  There are also loads of stalls with seriously yummy stuff for sale, including Honeysuckle Cakes, Brays Cottage and Pecans!

Now the hunt is on for entertainment!

Now the hunt is on for suitable entertainment to add ambience to this wonderful weekend.  The entertainment can be almost anything, from bands to dancing elves, from singers to balloon sculptures.  Essentially the organisers are looking for entertainment that is happy to brave the elements and entertain the visitors while they wander the lovely stalls and shops.

Interested entertainers should see the website for details: www.deepdalechristmasmarket.co.uk

The programme of entertainment will be announced at the end of October, which will include local events & activities in the village pubs, café and other venues around Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale.  As they say at Deepdale, “Another wonderful excuse to the visit the beautiful north Norfolk coast!”  You can make a whole weekend of it and find a range of accommodation on www.burnhamdeepdale.co.uk including tipis, yurts, backpackers hostels, camping, B&Bs and hotels, all a short walk from the Deepdale Christmas Market.
