The Elephant Man
Friday 3rd April, 7.30pm
There’s something for everyone at the Public Hall this Easter starting with Bernard Pomerance’s tender portrayal of Joseph Merrick, the moving story based on a severely deformed man in 19th century London. Local company, The Quaysiders, will perform The Elephant Man on Good Friday, 3rd April at 7.30pm. Tickets: £10 & £9 for Concessions.
Easter Soul Time!
Saturday 4th April, 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm)
In amazing contrast, on the next evening, Saturday 4th April at 8pm to Midnight, the old Hall will be pulsating to the cool sounds of Northern Soul and Motown as Soul Time returns! Super soul DJ Mark R’n’B Bale, is fast becoming legendary at Beccles Public Hall as he and his guest DJs regularly draw in capacity crowds. Don’t miss – book early for a fab night for just £6.

Come and enjoy watching this troupe of British retirees as they travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. It’s less luxurious than advertised, but nevertheless the hotel begins to charm them in unexpected ways.

LV, short for Little Voice, is a quiet and shy retiring young woman who lives with a gregariously brash mother. Her personality comes to life in the seclusion of her room through the sounds of her late father’s favourite melodies – she impersonates the great stars such as Judy Garland. Jane Horrocks sings her heart out as she performs alongside legendary actors, Jim Broadbent and Michael Caine.
