See birds of prey, go on a bunny hunt and decorate Easter biscuits in north Norfolk this April. Here Visit North Norfolk lists some of its top family-friendly events:-

Get creative and make a rabbit decoration at Holkham Hall’s art workshop at the Bygones Museum (18 to 21 April). Afterwards explore its mini mazes in the courtyard, decorate some tasty Easter biscuits in the kitchen and find bunnies hidden in the hall. Families can sit back and listen to captivating tales with Holkham Hall’s storyteller Paul Jackson in his enchanting yurt and meet children’s author Jackie Morris, famous for her internationally best-selling picture books including ‘I am Cat’ and critically acclaimed novel for older children ‘East of the Sun, West of the Moon’.Entry to Hall, Bygones Museum and Walled Gardens £13 for adults and £6.50 for children.

See birds of prey as well as fluffy chicks at the Wroxham Barns Junior Farm this Easter. Two falcons, a hawk and a kestrel from Broadsview Falconry will be showcased from 18 April to 22 April, as well as a baby Indian eagle owl. The birds will be at the farm from 10am to 4pm daily and there will be a flying display in the adjacent field at 3pm each day. Plus bottle-feed the lambs and visit the sheep, goats, donkeys and pigs including Trixie, a Gloucester Old Spot sow who has recently had 11 piglets. £5.75 per person.

Go on a bunny hunt at Gooderstone Water Gardens near Swaffham between 18 to 21 April. Seek out a dozen bunnies in the magical gardens and on the Saturday and Sunday there’s special Easter themed face painting and craft activities. Afterwards head to the cafe to enjoy homemade cakes and tea and spot kingfishers and trout in the stream. Adults £6.50 and children under 16 free.

Kids stay for free at Virginia Court Hotel at Cromer this Easter; situated in a quiet tree-lined avenue just a five minute walk from Cromer beach and town centre. Cromer Pier is holding The Vienna Festival Ballet production of Cinderella on 19 April and free fun can also be had crabbing off Cromer pier! Virginia Court Hotel is offering bed and breakfast for £125 per room which can sleep up to three or £145 for a larger room which can sleep up to four. Minimum two night stay.

The Easter Eggstravaganza at Pensthorpe Natural Park is an ‘egg-cellent’ way to celebrate the Easter holidays! Taking place daily (10am to 5pm) from 5 – 22 April, the event teaches visitors about nature in spring time and a fascinating trail weaves explorers through the Reserve, unearthing secrets about enchanting Easter traditions. Admission to the Reserve costs £11.25 for adults and £8.00 for children (aged 3-16).  

Fitness fanatics should head to Active Fakenham’s Showcase Day and Shopkeepers Olympics on 19 April (10am to 1pm). There’s games and challenges, live music, a tug of war, Zumba, line dancing and food and drink on offer. Most activities are free.
