Here we go again:

Unfortunately I was a bit optimistic sending out the listings for July & August as following yesterday’s announcement, the first 5 events will now not be able to go ahead.

It’s so frustrating for everyone (you guys included of course) as the knock on effect ripples out.

We hope to be back to normal(ish) for Brian McFadden on 21 July.

Aurora Orchestra, Gary Delaney, The Drifters, ELO Experience and Suffolk Philharmonic are cancelled or postponed. Aurora will be returning in June 2022, but with a different programme. Suffolk Phil’s concert has been moved to 9 October.

Thanks & best wishes

Sandra

Aurora Orchestra with Nicola Benedetti

Aurora Orchestra with Nicola Benedetti

Postponed – Aurora will be returning in June 2022

“Dreaming, hearing loss and saying goodbye.” So reads the evocative subtitle for Richard Ayres’ No.52 (Three Pieces about Ludwig van Beethoven), premiered by Aurora Orchestra behind closed doors at last year’s BBC Proms. Aurora’s first post-pandemic appearance at The Apex offers the first opportunity for a live audience to experience this radiant, intensely personal work, described by The Times as “Stupendous… unbearably poignant, yet also indefatigably stoic.

Richard Ayres – No. 52 (Three pieces about Ludwig van Beethoven)

Beethoven – Violin Concerto in D, Op.61

Playing the Beethoven from memory, Aurora created an organic sense of community, dynamism and inspiration.” – New York Times
