Fairhaven Music Concerts – Summer Music in the Glade in July 2015

St Edmund’s Youth Orchestra, from Acle, launches Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden’s Summer Sunday Afternoon Concert season on Sunday, July 5. This open-air concert in The Glade is from 2pm to 4pm. Normal admission charges apply, adult £6.20, concessions £5.70 and child £3.65, under five free. There is no additional charge for summer music events.

Sunday Afternoon Concerts July programme 

St Edmund’s Youth Orchestra, Sunday, July 5, 2pm to 4pm, playing a mix of music from many genres and decades.

Norfolk Reed Quartet, Sunday, July 12, 2pm to 4pm, with light classics, salon and café music, bandstand pops, jazz standards and contemporary original music for clarinet quartets.

The Castaways, Sunday, July 19, 2pm to 4pm, performing sea shanties, folk, Irish, Country and Western music and old time singalongs.

The Classic Dixieland Trio, Sunday 26 July, 2pm to 4pm, playing a selection of favourites from the golden age of popular music and jazz standards with a Dixieland feel.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is at South Walsham NR13 6DZ, nine miles east of Norwich, signposted off A47 at B1140 junction, t. 01603 270449, www.fairhavengarden.co.uk.

The garden is open daily all year 10am to 5pm (closed Christmas Day and closes 4pm during the winter), also open Wednesdays until 9pm to the end of August. Free entry to tearoom, gift shop and plant sales.

There is wheelchair access throughout the garden, including a Sensory Garden and boat trips (additional charge). Visitors requiring special facilities are advised to telephone in advance, mobility scooters available.

Dogs are welcome on leads; small charge to cover poop scoop.
