Fairhaven Garden Fairy Folk

Fairhaven Garden Fairy Folk Halloween Trail at October Half Term

Head to Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham, over October half-term, and go on the Fairhaven Fairy Folk Halloween Trail. Hunt for little fairy doors in the trees and discover which fairies and spirits live there.

The Fairy Folk Halloween Trail is free with garden entry, plus 10p for the trail sheet, and runs every day from Saturday, October 19 to Sunday, October 27, 10am to 4pm. Garden entry is adult £6.85, concessions £6.60, children £3.95 (under5 free).

In recent centuries, Halloween has replaced the ancient celebration of Samhain, when our Celtic ancestors celebrated the end of summer and the beginning of winter. They believed that this time of year was when the boundary between the spirit world and our world was at its thinnest and communication between the two worlds was possible.

Halloween is when humans can encounter tree spirits and fairy folk, if they go very quietly into the woods….
