Folk Fest

Folk Fest

Date: 22 July 2017
Time: 12:00 – 20:00
Location: Brandon Country Park, IP27 0SU

Folk Fest comes to Brandon Country Park!

Our brand new festival celebrates great folk, acoustic and world music in the beautiful woodland setting of our historic Walled Garden. We have some of the brightest talent in the folk scene in East Anglia coming to the park and we’re so excited we could burst!

Our day starts with a majestic opening from African Drumming Circle, a great fun, group participation activity that will get the day really kicking off. Playing live during the afternoon are: the “wonderfully wonky” Elly Tree playing mash-up of art, folk, indi and world; Suffolk born and bred singer songwriter and guitarist Holly Johnston with Sarah Will on flute; Silbury Hill who are Scott Dolling on flute, guitars and vocal, and David Stainer on guitar, mandolin and vocals, playing lively folk/rock songs inspired by their Suffolk roots; and Double Take, amongst many, many others. And we’ll have space for open mic and folk sessions, so bring along an instrument (or your fine vocal cords!) if you fancy joining in.

Our event is suitable for everyone. We’ll have an activity corner with crafting of natural materials into your very own special handmade musical instruments! Plus face painting with a musical twist too!

The Copper Beech Tearoom will stay open throughout the event with a special event menu, plus we’ll have a beer tent serving real ales and wines.

TICKETS ON SALE NOW – Tickets are just £10 adults and £7.50 children (3-16) and concessions (over 60). Under 3s are free.
