A successful music festival on the North Norfolk coast is set to return for a second year.
Unplugged By The Sea will showcase acoustic musical talent from near and far and for all ages to enjoy.
This year more than 30 acts will take part, with an eclectic variety of music on offer from harps to punk, fiddles to hip hop and folk to rock.
It will take place at The Crown Inn, Sheringham on August 19 and 20 2017.
The event, organised by Ben Carpenter and his fiancé Loren Allen, will run 12 noon until 11pm on both days and is free to attend.
Mr Carpenter, who has previously worked as a music promoter organising Rock Bodham, said: “The music has a bit of everything for everyone, from solo ukuleles to punk and from folk to harps everyone will have something they will love for sure.”
All of the acts are giving their time to the festival for free in support of this year’s chosen charity, The Norfolk Blood Bikes (SERV Norfolk).
SERV Norfolk transport blood, plasma, platelets, samples and breast milk amongst other important donations to hospitals requiring them 24 hours a day, during the week, at weekends and bank holidays.
The organisation covers the county of Norfolk and is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who receive no financial compensation for their time or costs.
Miss Allen said: “People don’t realise how important the SERV is and how none of us know when we might need them to help us and how passionate and committed the volunteers are despite not getting paid a penny.”
There will be a marquee should there be any adverse weather but organisers have said the event will go ahead rain or shine on the outside stage over-looking the sea.
Last year Unplugged By The Sea raised £1,200 in bucket donations and organisers hope to make this year even more successful.
Mr Carpenter paid thanks to Bob Brewster, landlord of The Crown, Titch the sound organiser and all those involved in making it happen.
Landlord of the Crown, Bob Brewster, said: “The Crown has always done its bit where charity is concerned and we have been hosting live music here for more than 35 years. Helping to host the event is a fantastic combination of the two.”
