The ‘open gardens festival with a difference’ is back. The Fressingfield Garden Festival, in north Suffolk, will take place for the third time, during the weekend of 16th and 17th June 2007.

fressingfield gardensHere the traditional ‘open gardens’ has developed into a very special event for both the amateur and more experienced enthusiast, with even more of interest this year.

fressingfield gardensOver 20 gardens are accessible and hugely varied, from the lawns, hedges, arbour and vegetables of the largest house to the manicured cottage garden and lots in between, with examples of some of the best of East Anglian sculpture, including that of Brian Alabaster (just back from Chelsea), Ben Platt Mills and Alice Palser.

fressingfield gardensIn the village centre will be marquees with regionally renowned nurseries and a taste of Country Living with stalls, music, ice cream and more and the church in flower is a new addition to this year’s Festival, featuring the ‘Four Seasons’.

fressingfield gardensThe Festival Food is second to none, with coffee and cake in the morning, while you plan your day, Festival Lunch at midday and strawberry and cream teas in the afternoon. The Swan Inn and Fox and Goose Inn will also be open all day, both days.

Easily accessible from both the A140 and A143 to the north of the county, this is a unique opportunity to learn more about our favourite pastime in a most enjoyable setting.

The Fressingfield Garden Festival supports the restoration of the bells of St Peter and St Paul Fressingfield.
