First time open to the public, the garden is in a unique position within the RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve.

Set against the backdrop of Scotts Hall, which dates back to the Domesday Book, the gardens are the result of 20 years work starting with disused farm buildings, rubble and huge areas of “wasteland” covered in nettles. 200 tons of topsoil and unspecified amounts of pig manure were shipped in to form a base.

The gardens now include a potager, old fashion walled gardens, a glorious rose garden, cottage garden, greenhouse terrace and children’s play area, all surrounded by woodland.
