Gardening, Craft & Food Fair at Pensthorpe

The annual Gardening, Craft & Food Fair returns to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Gardens near Fakenham in Norfolk this year on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June 2011 bringing together stunning plants, quality crafts and scrumptious food.

The popular event will host 22 food stalls, 32 craft stalls and 23 plant and garden stalls with top nurseries from around the county setting up to show off their plants. Exhibitors showcase a range of local produce from flower displays, jewellery, antiquarian books to a working Blacksmiths – be sure not to miss the fine Norfolk ales!

It’s not just the event which is on offer but the chance to draw inspiration from Pensthorpe’s stunning gardens, with entrance to the famous reserve discounted over both the event days. Those paying the discounted rate to visit the reserve will get the Gardening and Food Fair for free!

Imogen Checketts, Pensthorpe’s Head Gardener comments: “Visitors have the opportunity to create their own ‘mini Pensthorpe’ at home as we’ve propagated many of the plants and flowers on show, for visitors to buy and grow at home. A rare opportunity to have a slice of an award-winning garden design in your own backyard!”

Pensthorpe’s Event Manager Kirsty Willingham comments: “This is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to come down and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the reserve, with the added bonus of the tantalising treats, unusual crafts and quality nursery grown plants. You can buy everything for a super summer’s day, from the furniture to relax in, tasty nibbles, beautiful plants to surround you and a fine sun hat!

The event is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission to the Fair is £4 for adults, £2 for children or pay a discounted rate to enter the reserve and get the event for free (Adults are £8.50, Seniors are £6.75, Children £5.00).
