Pensthorpe’s popular Gardening, Craft and Food fair returns with a Jubilee-inspired twist on Saturday, 2 and Sunday, 3 June 2012, when a street party theme descends on the food hall and spectacular floral displays reflect the patriotic festivities!

As well as the wide variety of high quality craft, food and plant stalls from local producers, the street party in the food hall will create a celebratory atmosphere and toast the very best of Norfolk produce.

The food hall will also house a large screen where visitors can watch the Jubilee Boat Regatta down the Thames on Sunday as well as other Pensthorpe related footage throughout the weekend.

Quilt and flower displays will be themed around the Jubilee and experts from local nurseries will be on hand to give advice on planting, colours for summer and some all important tips for getting through the hose pipe ban.

Craft-fans will be treated to wool spinning from the fleece of an Alpaca, quirky decorations for the home and unique, hand-crafted jewellery.

Foodies will enjoy the best of local produce and can sample a range of local ales, meats, pies, chutneys and cheeses.

Plus a display of vintage lawnmowers and tractors will give fascinating insight into the cultivation of our land.

Pensthorpe’s Events Manager Kirsty Willingham comments: “Pensthorpe is passionate about celebrating what’s great and good about Norfolk and our Gardening, Craft and Food Fair will take on a very patriotic twist as we encourage our visitors to sample a range of goods from the local area. The tie in with the Jubilee will make it all the more special and we want to make it a celebration for our visitors, who can then gain entry to the Reserve at a special reduced rate”.

The event is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission to the Fair is £4 for adults, £2 for children or pay a discounted rate to enter the reserve and get the event for free (Adults are £8.50, Seniors are £6.75, Children £5.00).
