Teenagers with a passion for singing are invited to attend a free taster session for a new two-year vocal project which starts in Norfolk this summer.

Community Music East’s Get Vocal project aims to encourage musical excellence through group singing activities. It will provide high quality vocal development opportunities for young people who want to improve their skills and confidence.

As well as vocal training in different musical styles, participants will attend masterclasses and have opportunities to showcase their talents with performances.

Three-hour tasters are being held at The Garage in Norwich on August 13 at 10am and August 29 at 1pm and The Atrium in North Walsham on August 27 at 10am.

Clara Wiseman from CME said: “These fun workshops will help young people discover what the voice can do, meet the tutors and find out more about the project. Whether you’re into pop or rock, rap or r’n’b if you have a passion for voice this is you!”

The project is supported by Youth Music and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
