Good News: Deepdale Christmas Market Going Ahead

We are pleased to say that Dalegate Market was unaffected by the weather and storm surge of last night, and that Deepdale Christmas Market is going ahead as planned.

The marquees are going up, the stall holders are ready and the weather forecast is looking great, so now all we need are the lovely people of Norfolk and beyond to come and join us on both Saturday & Sunday.

Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by the storm surge.  Brancaster Staithe & Burnham Deepdale haven’t gone unaffected with many homes and the harbour area badly affected by flooding during the night.  The sea wall failed between Burnham Deepdale and Burnham Overy Staithe, flooding agricultural land and the nature reserve, plus closing the Norfolk Coast Path.  The clean up will cost a fortune and take a very long time.

Hopefully this weekends Deepdale Christmas Market can be a distraction from the sad events of last night and we can put some Christmas cheer back in people’s hearts.

This year’s market will welcome around 80 stalls in 3 large marquees and St Mary’s Church.  There are presentsdecorations, greatfood & drink, basically everything you need to complete your Christmas shopping and have a wonderful visit to the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.

There is entertainment throughout the weekend, from Nelson’s Shantymen to brass bands, with carols and all manner along the way.

We look forward to welcoming visitors from all over.  Entry is FREE and there is a Free Car Parking too.  The Coasthopper bus stops right on the doorstep.

Burnham Deepdale is approximately half way between Hunstanton and Wells-next-the-Sea.
