It’s our 4th year of trading as a community shop and so its our 4th Graze & Buy, Metfield Stores’ annual celebration of local produce, offering you the opportunity to meet a rich array of our local suppliers, and taste and buy their produce – this year held right next door in the garden.
…Tuck into *Thorpe Hall sausages or Metfield pork roast, bite into a slice of *Village Kitchen pizza, all washed down with *Adnams Bitter, *Aspall’s Cyder or *Opa Hay Ale *Suffolk Apple Juice or *James White Beetroot juice. Cool down with *Alder Tree Fruit ice cream.
…Sample fingers of *Pinney’s smoked trout accompanied by hot mustard sauce. Discover *Clevelys smoked duck or *Harvest Kitchen duck and orange pâté. Bite *Munchy Seeds vanilla pumpkin seeds. Munch a *Fairfield Crisp. Determine to bake your own bread with *Waklelyns mixed with *Marriages’ flour or *Wrights Rosemary Focaccia. Surprise yourself with *Jules & Sharpie chilli jams and *St Peter’s Fruit beers. Cook *Waveney mushrooms or *Metfield Allotment vegetables in *Hillfairs rapeseed oil, accompanied with *Bhaji Man’s Dhal. Sop up the juices with *Metfield Bakery Bread. Finish with a *Caley chocolate and *Marybelle Greek yoghurt.
AND, when you’ve worked your way around the tasting tables, there’s Face painting, a 1950’s Afternoon Tea Service, Cabinet making, Jewellery, Hattens Farm Trees and Roses, Suffolk Wild Life Plants, Pottery, Willow baskets, and even a facial or hand massage.
