It’s time to get those thinking caps on. This years Carnival has even more chances for you to win. As well as the usual charity and trade classes for floats we have added an extra class for walkers, this is for youth organisations.

Now you have four choices each class will have a first prize of £50 and second prize of £25 plus they all have the chance to steal the Best Entry Plaque from the Fire Service!!!

The procession will meet as usual at Bramfield Industrial Estate but will set off earlier at 1p.m. following it’s usual route up Bramfield Rd, down London Rd, the wrong way along the Thoroughfare and then into the town car park ready for the fete to official start at 2pm. Although the official start isn’t till 2pm the park will be full of stalls and games from 10.30am.

After the procession why not enter the children’s fancy dress competition classes are 0-5yrs,6-11yrs and 12 to 15 yrs great prizes in every class. If the fancy dress is not for you then bring your pet along for the ever popular pet show once more sponsored by Nolly’s Pet Shop and Skinners of Stradbroke.

We rounded up more Ducks then ever before for last years Duck race and still sold out, so there are more flying in for this year, but I suggest you still get your tickets as as they go on sale so your not disappointed, first prize is £100 kindly donated by Allens the Butchers.

Your money goes to very worthwhile causes, unfortunately we all know someone who has had to use their services. This years nominated charity is the Guide Dogs for the Blind. So please continue your wonderful support of your local Lions Club and join as for a great day out.
