storytelling sessions with the Yarnsmith of Norwich
Half-term storytelling sessions with the Yarnsmith of Norwich at Halesworth and Southwold libraries

David Tonge, the ‘Yarnsmith of Norwich’ will be running family storytelling sessions at Southwold and Halesworth libraries during next week’s half term holiday.

The sessions involve 40 minutes of fun and inter-active storytelling for children and their families. The theme is ‘Legends from a Long Forgotten Land’ and David will be telling ancient stories about the lost land of Doggerland which once joined Britain to Europe. He’ll aim to bring this land to life by sharing stories about hunting boar and wolves, and of people’s struggle as the sea flooded the land and changed their way of life for ever.

David will be running sessions at Southwold Library at 10.30am and 12noon on Monday 15 February.

On Saturday 20 February David will be running sessions at Halesworth Library at 10.30am, 12pm, 2.30pm and 4pm.

Tickets are £2 for adults, £1 for children aged five years and over or £5 for a family ticket for two adults and up to three children. Under 5s are free.

Tickets are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk and there are links via the Suffolk Libraries website on the Southwold and Halesworth Library pages.
