Have you got the X-mas Factor?
Would your choir, group, singers like to take part in ‘Colchester Voices at Christmas’ ?
Calling Choirs, Groups of Singers, School Choirs, Church Choirs, small groups of singers, choirs of up to 20 singers.
Destination Colchester is looking for singers who have the X-mas Factor. Would your singing group like to sing in Colchester town Centre and bring Christmas Cheer to the shoppers on Wednesday evenings on late night Christmas shopping nights?
We will arrange a rota of singers for Wednesdays from 1700 to 1900 commencing 25 November then throughout December 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd 2009.
Angela Dennis, the ‘Colchester Voices at Christmas’ co ordinator, will work out a rota – so don’t worry you will not have to sing every Wednesday – unless you want to!

Some guidelines for singers taking part in ‘Colchester Voices at Christmas’
- Wrap up warm – scarves, hats, fingerless gloves
- Bring torches or torch powered lanterns
- No amplifiers to be used
- Music repertoire to be Christmas carols or other Christmas music
- This event is for unaccompanied SINGERS only
- If you wish to collect for charity – you will need to apply for a street collecting license – see CBC website
- You are responsible for getting to the places allocated for singing
- Please submit a list of the songs you wish to perform
- NB Singers are only permitted to sing in the designated places – by kind permission of the land owners.
