Take part in a practical one-day masterclass exploring approaches to writing for the stage led by Steven Atkinson, the Artistic Director of HighTide Festival Theatre.
About the workshop
Develop and enhance your understanding of the craft of playwriting with a focused look at writing for the stage. Experience playwriting exercises. Learn tips and techniques for developing character, dramatic structure and improving dialogue. Take part in group analysis and discussion of formative play texts and contemporary works. Engage practically and critically with the art of playwriting. Participants will also be invited to see Steven’s production of Lidless which opens in the West End in March.
The masterclass will act as an introductory session to Warehouse Writers, HighTide’s new six week development programme in partnership with Writers’ Centre Norwich, launching in May.
