What are your experiences of using the NHS?

What do you think of your GP or dentist or pharmacist? Or maybe you would like to talk about a recent stay in hospital or your time in A&E.

Come and tell us at the NHS Community Conversations 2012.

To take part, people from across the county are being encouraged to book a place at one of these events which will take place on

Thursday 5 July 2012 at The Quaker Meeting Rooms in Bury St Edmunds

and on

Tuesday 10 July 2012 at Kesgrave Community & Conference Centre in Kesgrave

Both events start at 1.00p.m. and finish at 4.30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Now an annual event, people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of health can have a one-to-one conversation about their recent NHS experiences.

Staff members from NHS Suffolk, Suffolk Community Healthcare, West Suffolk and Ipswich hospitals, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, GPs, the out of hours service, and the East of England Ambulance Service will be on hand to listen to what you have to say.

Dr Imran Qureshi, a local GP, said: “Empowering patients to make informed healthcare decisions is at the heart of the new NHS and so we have to listen to patients and take on board their ideas and concerns. The patient voice will help to shape the NHS from now on.
“People can come along and talk to staff members about the care they have received.

There will also be the opportunity to join in group sessions to expand on particular issues together.

“Every idea and concern that people raise is taken back by NHS colleagues across the county so that any changes that can be made, will be.”

Anyone who would like to attend should e-mail Adrienne Eagle at [email protected] or telephone 01284 713 090
