Jim Parkyn will be running three workshops at Beccles Public Hall on Thursday 5 April at 11am, 2pm and 4.15pm. Don’t miss if you like getting creative!

Jim has spent most of his adult life playing with modelling clay including the creation of characters for animation, film and TV. Jim has worked with Aardman Animations, the BBC and various independent studios.

Jim created the Scene Machine to make animation accessible to everyone, to encourage creativity and to get folk involved. Jim can often be found marauding at festivals, events and exhibitions as well as working with businesses and private clients who want to get creative and play with clay.

“Did you come along to the Hall to make a Shaun the Sheep or a Gromit? Well, we think you’ll enjoy this workshop as well” said Sue Bergin, Hall Director.

How it works:

“We make a scene, ask folk attending your event to create things that we can put in it and then make a film of its creation. The result being a short film, inspired by your event and a scene for you to keep.

We create Amazing Scenes at festivals, exhibitions and events in response to a specific theme or in response to our location.

Take a look at our blog for the scenes that we’ve created previously or take a look at our film channel to see the tiny-movies that we’ve made in unlikely places” said Jim.

Tickets can be purchased from the Hall Box Office from 10am to 3pm from Mon – Sat, by visiting www.becclespublichall.co.uk or by ringing 01502 77060
