Jobs boost for 16 – 18 year olds in Suffolk

Young people in Suffolk have received a jobs boost following the announcement by NHS Suffolk of the creation of twelve new and important apprenticeship opportunities.

Aimed at 16 – 18 year olds living in Suffolk, applications for the apprenticeship positions will be phased over the next few weeks.

Initially, there are six opportunities for highly motivated young people available within Business Administration and one in IT. Applicants can find out more about these positions and apply on-line at www.apprenticeships.org.uk. The closing date for these applications is Friday 12th March.

Secondly, there will be four opportunities to undertake engineering or construction apprenticeships within NHS Estates and Facilities Departments and one in Dental Nursing. These posts will be advertised soon.

Julie White, NHS Suffolk Apprenticeship Coordinator, said:
“These apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain valuable work experience and will give them a great start on the career ladder.”

The positions will be based at Ipswich, Bramford or Stowmarket.
