Jon Canter at the Breckland Book Festival 2014

Organised by Creative Arts East in partnership with Breckland District Council and Norfolk County Council Library and Information Services.

Jon Canter is a novelist and scriptwriter, who started out writing jokes for some of Britain’s most famous comedians such as Lenny Henry, Rowan Atkinson and Dawn French. His latest book ‘Afterliff’ is co-written with John Lloyd, the legendary producer of Blackadder and QI.

A ‘liff’ is a familiar object or experience the English language (as yet) has no word for.

‘Afterliff’ corrects this by recycling the names found on signposts. Jon will be creating some local Breckland liffs for the event!
