Submissions close 31 October for major East of England international art fair

The deadline for submissions to Art Fair East, which runs from 2nd to 4th December in St Andrews Hall, is rapidly approaching. The fair is one of the Eastern region’s largest and liveliest contemporary visual arts events, of a type rarely seen outside London. It brings together artists, galleries and dealers from the UK and overseas, including a large contingent of talented artists from across the east of England.

Scores of artists and galleries have already made submissions including international dealers and galleries who will be exhibiting work from artists from around the UK including dealers in editions by world famous artists such as Damien Hirst and Banksy. The Eastern Art Fair will give artists from our region the opportunity to be seen alongside these household names.

There is still time to apply to take part in the prestigious event and artists from the eastern region are especially encouraged to apply. Artists who would like to be considered for the December event should complete the online application form at www.artfaireast.com, which includes full details of available options etc. The organisers invite applications from established art dealers, galleries, artists and collectives to show contemporary art including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video art, installation, performance and original limited edition prints. All artworks must be one off or limited edition, craft items, digital reproductions of paintings or mass- produced items will not be accepted.

The Eastern Art Fair is organised by Norfolk based art professionals Will Teather and Brian Korteling. Will said ‘We have already had a fantastic range of submissions of high quality contemporary art, from across the UK and overseas but we want to make our selection process as tough for ourselves as possible! We are especially keen hear from more artists based in the Eastern region. Art Fair East aims to showcase the best the art-world has to offer to a wide audience of collectors, art professionals and the general public.’

Now established as a regular feature in the annual art calendar, Art Fair East showcases a curated selection of quality galleries, dealers and artists and brings a slice of the art-world to both seasoned and new art lovers. The early December slot makes it a prestigious addition to Norwich’s Christmas shopping experience and offers visitors a great chance to expand an existing art collection, start their own journey into collecting or buy original and authentic Christmas presents for loved ones.
