LAST NIGHT IN EUROPE
A unique theatrical event organised to mark the UK’s ‘exit’ from the European Union on 29th March: six brand new monologues from local writers commenting on the poignant, funny, tragic and riotous impact of Brexit.
Last Night in Europe is produced in partnership with the Norwich Arts Centre, aiming to create a subversive and transgressive night of affecting theatre and discussion.
The evening will centre on the premieres of six new monologues from local playwrights seeking to try and make sense of the political mayhem of the last two years. Later on there will be the opportunity to enjoy music courtesy of the company DJ.
We’re delighted to have assembled a brilliant team of writers, directors and actors. Audiences might have seen Steve Waters’ acclaimed dramas Temple or Limehouse at the Donmar Warehouse in the West End. Alternatively, Molly Naylor and James McDermott have both performed at the Norwich Arts Centre in the past and now contribute sharp and thought-provoking moments to this new evening.
