Fancy fish and chips served in a ‘bucket and spade’ by a Michelin-starred chef? That’s exactly what visitors will get at Galton Blackiston’s No.1 Cromer Fish & Chip shop and restaurant. The restaurant has views across Cromer beach and pier and the potatoes are grown on Galton’s own farm. The delicious crab cakes are already legendary! It also has a tasty ice-cream shop named Ice Cromer next door with all 33 flavours made from scratch.
Pick-up a Cromer Crab from one of the many fish shops in town and see an array of crabs scattered around the town at the annual Cromer & Sheringham Crab & Lobster Festival held 16-18 May 2014. The event is a feast of fun, food, art, heritage and celebrates the town’s links with the sea and the tasty catch it provides.

Also on the pier look out for buckets of crabs as nets are dangled off the edge as families compete in crabbing contests!
