Former music students and now friends together, Rebecca Hunt, Marnie Blair and Hannah Watson all share a love of classical and operatic music and they will be bringing their charity recital to Beccles Public Hall on Saturday 2 September 2017 at 7.30pm.

The idea to put on a charity recital was Marnie’s and she first contacted the Hall in mid 2015. She’s a fairly recent graduate in Music from Durham University having received a first in performance. Her idea for a charity recital in Beccles is now taking shape and “we are very much looking forward to the event” said Marnie.

Marnie has been auditioning for Music College and is a classically & opera trained mezzo-soprano so much of what she will be performing at the recital will be classical, although she does have a few lighter pieces which will be included.

Rebecca Hunt is a trained Soprano and Hannah Watson accompanies the two young singers on the Hall’s Steinway and they have described their performance as “a journey through poetry and classical song”.

The concert will commence at 7.30pm on Saturday 2 September and is in aid of Doctors of Madagascar, Crohns & Colitis UK and Beccles Public Hall. The concert will last for approximately 1 hour and refreshments will be available the beginning and end of the concert when there will be a chance to mingle with the musicians.

Tickets are £8 and £6 for concessions and are being sold at Beccles Public Hall where the Box Office is open from Mon – Sat, 10am – 3pm.  Additionally, tickets can be purchased with a credit or debit card by ringing 01502 770060 or by visiting www.becclespublichall.com
