Lowestoft’s Marina Theatre has announced two more top comedians are to perform later this year, further bolstering the venues’ growing reputation for attracting some of the biggest names in comedy.
Adam Hills, star of the critically acclaimed TV show, The Last Leg & Mock The Week favourite, Andy Parsons will both appear on stage at the Marina this autumn with tickets on sale today (Tuesday). It’s looking like these comedy shows are going to be incredibly popular.
Fresh from his triumph as host of Channel 4’s BAFTA winning entertainment show ‘The Last Leg’, Australian funny man Adam Hills will present his highly anticipated new show Happyism at the Marina on November 9 2013.
Happyism will see the hugely popular Antipodean comedian take to the stage for an evening of comedy with the usual anecdotes and audience participation all delivered in his refreshingly unique, laid-back style.
Adam Hills has achieved international acclaim as one of the world’s best stand up comics. His combination of positive uplifting comedy and rampant spontaneity have seen him receive a swag of awards, glowing reviews and a legion of fans around the planet.
Adam became a household name in the UK after his part in the London Paralympics Games where he fronted the hugely successful ‘The Last Leg with Adam Hills’ for Channel 4. Its success led to Adam hosting Channel 4’s alternative Christmas Day message – a first for an Australian!
With a critically acclaimed second series of ‘The Last Leg’ under his belt, Adam will be returning to the UK in August for a eight week series of ‘The Last Leg’, a return to the Edinburgh Festival, and a visit to the Marina as part of a UK Tour culminating in recording a brand new DVD from the world famous Hammersmith Apollo to be released in November 2013.
Andy Parsons brings his new show, I’ve Got A Shed to the Marina Theatre on October 10 2013. Having already performed three sell-out National tours and released his debut DVD ‘Britain’s Got Idiots’, in 2009 followed by ‘Gruntled’ in 2011. Andy started his comedy career on Spitting Image, becoming one of the main writers before embarking on a stand-up career which has led to huge success on shows including Mock The Week and Live at the Apollo. Andy will be at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft on October 10.
