The black belts of the club took part in a 3 hour technical training session on Saturday with the GTUK Master and then went out for a fantastic meal at Bahn Thai in Bungay.
The club grading took place on Sunday and 33 students were put through rigorous paces in order to gain their next belt. The awards then followed with a buffet and presentations including Reece Jordan as Peewee, James Horsley as Junior and Gwynne Braidwood as adult students of the year.
Master Oldham praised the ethos of the club and the professionalism of all the members and claimed that it had a great spirit and he was really proud to return for the 1st time in 9 years. Steve King 5th Degree was also full of praise for the technical standards including excellent Korean terminology, whilst Clinton Gillett 4th Degree said that the club has worked incredibly hard throughout 2011 winning over a 100 medals in various competitions.
The club closes for the Christmas break on 16th December but will reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2012 and will be recruiting for new students so if you want to get fit for the new year come along to the high school on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 7pm or contact Clinton Gillett on 01986 892140 for further details.
The youngest students in the club are 6 years old and there is no upper age limit.
