With excellent productions such as The Barber of Seville and Kiss Me Figaro under their belts, The Merry Opera Co. are once again preparing to perform one of their eagerly anticipated productions at Beccles Public Hall. This time it’s Mozart’s celebrated The Marriage of Figaro.

“The performance is set for Friday 9 February at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm so come along early to bag your seat! Tickets are £10 for adults and £9 for concessions” said Hall Manager, James Aggett.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of love in the jazz clubs of the 1960s is driving everyone crazy. Figaro loves Susanna, Cherubino loves the Countess, and the Countess loves the Count. The Count is intent on chasing Susanna and on preventing Figaro from marrying her.
Outsmarted not only by a cunning disguise, but also by the arrival of a couple of long-lost parents and by Figaro’s and Susanna’s ingenuity, the Count slowly realises that everyone else is running rings round him.
