FINAL DETAILS OF FIRST EVER STEAM GALA ANNOUNCED

This next weekend of 16th & 17th July 2011 the MNR will be hosting its first ever Steam Locomotive Gala, featuring exGWR King Edward II [No.6023], GWR design Pannier Tank No.9466 [in its new all black livery] and ex LMS “Jinty” locomotive 47406.

Dereham Station will also be hosting trade stalls, model railways and a ride on “narrow gauge” train situated in the Station Car Park.

Each day will see 8 return trains from Dereham to Wymondham; starting both days at 8.50am with 47406 and last return trips with 47406 at 5pm on Saturday and with 6023 at 5.15pm on Sunday. [This is 6023’s last scheduled journey on the MNR in 2011.]

Return trains from Wymondham begin at 10.00am on both days with 47406.
Last departures for Dereham, from Wymondham, are at 6.00pm with 47406 on Saturday and 6.20pm on Sunday with 6023.

Return fares are £14 Adult. £7 Child, £11 Senior, £30 Family. All Day Rover is £25.
Intermediate station fares and one way journeys are proportionately charged.

On the Evening of Friday 15th July one of the steam locos will haul an extra Fish&Chip Special Train at 7pm. Fares are £16 Adult and £9 Children, fares also include first drink. Booking is essential and details can be found on the website,
