“The Railway Children”
is a Musical by Julian Woodford & Richard John

and is based upon the timeless E. Nesbit classic novel

The show runs every day of the Diamond Jubilee Half Term holiday, excepting Wednesday 6th June, from Saturday 2nd June to Sunday 10th June 2012.

Afternoon performances on 2/3/4/5/9/10 June start at 3.45pm.

Evening shows on 2/3/4/5/7/8/9 start at 7.00pm.

The action is played out across the tracks at Dereham Station, with the audience beneath the platform canopy and the Players in the open air, across the metals.
Afternoon Performances will take place around the MNR’s Steam Service departure to Wymondham and its arrival back. The show features live train movements.
Tickets can be bought at either the Railway (01362 851723) or Festival Offices (01362 690969), priced at £12 for Adults with Children and Concessions at £10.
In hosting the “Railway Children” event, MNR is showing another aspect of its “Community” aspirations, by supporting the local Dereham based Open Cast Community Theatre Company [OCCT].
OCCT’s aim is also to donate monies in support of the “The Railway Children”. This is an international charity which protects vulnerable children, who live alone at risk on the streets.
OCCT is a company of 50 local Players, many of them young people, who have generated widespread interest in this production, both locally and across Norfolk.
