Head to Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham on Mother’s Day, Sunday, March 30 2014 and join the Spring Walk with Head Gardener, Ian Guest at 11am. Enjoy the wild yellow primroses, white wood anemones, camellias, daffodils and narcissi. There’s also a free primrose plant on the day for every mum.

The Spring Walk is included in garden entry: £6.10 adult, £5.60 concessions and £3.60 child (under 5 free).

Fairhaven’s new boat, Primula, will make its debut on Mother’s Day. The boat  can carry passengers in wheelchairs and will take visitors on trips on the South Walsham broads and to St Benet’s Abbey. Primula will run alongside existing boat, Primrose (additional charge for boat trips). The garden is open daily all year from 10am to 5pm (closed Christmas Day), and on Wednesdays until 9pm from May to the end of August. Admission is adult £6.10, concessions £5.60 and child £3.60 (under 5 free); free entry to tearoom, gift shop and plant sales.

There is wheelchair access throughout the garden, including a Sensory Garden and an accessible boat for trips on the broad. Visitors requiring special facilities are advised to telephone in advance, mobility scooters available. Dogs are welcome on leads; small charge to cover poop scoop.
