Open Gardens Spring into Summer!

If you like the colour of bright flowers from the vivid displays of English bluebells through to the glorious technicolour of rhododendrons, the National Gardens Scheme across Norfolk has plenty for you to feast your eyes.  There are 10 gardens opening during May and here is just a glimpse of some of them for you to visit:

Witton Hall nr North Walsham opens on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May, where you can wander through carpets of true English bluebells in their woodland walks.

At Holme Hale Hall, situated between Swaffham and Dereham on Sunday 12th May, tulips, alliums and a magnificent wisteria are the main attraction for visitors.

Azaleas and rhododendrons look magnificent at both Lexham Hall gardens, nr Litcham on Sunday 19th May and Stody Lodge on Tuesday 21st May,

Bank House nr Marshland St James opens on Sunday 26th May where irises take centre stage in two acres of exuberant plantings.

All the gardens will serve delicious home-made cake, tea and coffee.  If you have not yet got your free copy of the 2019 National Garden Scheme ‘Gardens to Visit’ booklet then you can find one at your local  library, good garden centre or tourist information centre.  Alternatively you can find out about gardens open throughout 2019 by accessing our website: www.ngs.org.uk
