creative workshops

Next week a Suffolk arts charity will begin running free creative workshops for people who care for an adult family member in Ipswich.

After a successful pilot earlier this year, Suffolk Artlink are now offering adult family carers in Ipswich a chance to explore food, creativity and culture with like-minded people in regular half day workshops.

The sessions are part of the arts charity’s Around the Table project, which began in Lowestoft last year.

The new creative workshops are free of charge and will take place at the Claydon Suffolk Family Carers Hub.

They will be led by a rich variety of experienced chefs, foodies and artists.  Forthcoming sessions include:

Thursday 15th November 2018, 10.30am – 1pm: Create ‘foodie gifts’, perfect for stocking fillers with chef Lola De Mille. Learn how to make homemade cheese, crackers, pickles and sweet treats.

Thursday 10th January 2019, 10.30am – 1pm: The group will be creating together with print maker, Vicky Johnson and Brazilian foodie Daniella Paiva,

Thursday 28th February 2019, 10.30am – 1pm: Create your own personal recipe for a flavoured ‘quick’ bread whilst exploring the symbology and poetry of bread with Leo Burtin.

Previous workshops have proved a huge success.
