New Eastenders star to head East for Panto

Star of this years Marina Theatre pantomime, Stefan Booth is to join EastEnders as the fiancé of Tanya Branning. The former Hollyoaks and The Bill actor has been cast in the role of builder Greg, and his first appearance in Albert Square will be linked to the reconstruction of the Queen Vic pub after it burns down in a plot rumoured to kill off several key characters.

One resident of Albert Square who won’t be welcoming Greg with open arms will be Tanya’s ex-husband Max. Actress Jo Joyner who plays Tanya returns to EastEnders following her maternity leave and her return to the soap alongside Greg is sure to send sparks flying.

In December former Dancing On Ice finalist Stefan Booth takes the lead in Britain’s most Easterly pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft.

Bringing charm, charisma and smouldering good looks to the production, the talented actor first appeared in the hit serial drama Hollyoaks as the heartbreaking Jamie Nash, before leaving to spend time pounding the beat in The Bill as well as receiving critical acclaim for his appearances in musical theatre. Most recently he appeared BBC One’s four-part thriller The Silence.

Stefan was a huge hit with judges and audiences in the popular Dancing on Ice competition which saw him spin, arabesque and butterfly jump his way into the final where he performed The Bolero in front of Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean, securing the runners-up place. He still enjoys ice skating and said that working with Jane and Christopher was an amazing experience.

Stefan will be appearing in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as the dashing Prince alongside former Hi De Hi favourite Nikki Kelly and XFM DJ and former Big breakfast presenter Mike McClean.
