GoGoHares

Harleston’s Future is leading a campaign to have a Harleston Hare, decorated with swifts and wild animals, in the town centre over the summer. It will form part of GoGoHares, a Norfolk wide scheme to raise money for the local charity, Break and will help put Harleston on the map. There will be a smart phone app and a sticker book encouraging people to visit all 18 hares located around the county, as well as the 50 in Norwich.  Here is a detail of the Harleston Hare, painted by ScribblyRoo.

At the time of going to press almost £2500 had been raised towards the total of £5000. The money raised by the auction of all the painted hares in October will enable Break to continue its valuable work with children at risk or with disabilities by providing children’s homes, fostering service and other support.
