…AND STREET PARTY

From 6pm there will be another free STREET PARTY in the Market Place. Stroll down with the family to enjoy a relaxed and sociable evening of music and fun. We welcome back the wonderful Funk Soul Brothers, who seem to get better each year, and they will be supported by finger-lickin’ folk and bluegrass duo The Revelation Brothers, aka Harleston’s very own Jake Lee Savage (banjo) and Jack Warren (guitar).  There will be a variety of food and drink stalls and the ever-popular Pimms tent.

A HARE FOR HARLESTON – PLEASE JOIN IN

The campaign to have a Harleston Hare, decorated with swifts and wild animals, in the town centre over the summer is making good progress. It will form part of GoGoHares, a Norfolk wide scheme to raise money for the local charity, Break and will help put Harleston on the map. There will be a smart phone app and a sticker book encouraging people to visit all 18 hares located around the county, as well as the 50 in Norwich.

The money raised by the auction of all the painted hares in October will enable Break to continue its valuable work with children at risk or with disabilities by providing children’s homes, fostering service and other support.

At the time of going to press over £3500 had been pledged towards the total of £5000.To support this initiative and donate online search for uk.virginmoneygiving.com , click on Make A Donation and enter GoGoHares into the search box.
