Norfolk Suffolk winter ideas

Here at icenipost.com we acknowledge that winter is approaching and apparently it could be a shocker with the worst winter since 1950 predicted. In reality it will probably be a heatwave, but what events are coming up in the local area that visitors and locals alike can get involve in?

An Audience with Lesley Garrett

November
Join Lesley Garrett on Sunday November 25th where Britain’s most popular Soprano delivers an evening of song, chat and an insight to her life on the stage, Lesley has performed with the English and Welsh National Operas and starred with Andrea Bocelli and Michael Ball.

Suffolk Libraries presents

Visitors to Suffolk and Norfolk over winter can also see a series of performances created by Suffolk libraries in association with Creative Arts East. Details include ‘Swan Lake’ and the ‘Duchess of Malfi’. Adults could visit the Greene King Brewery to take in a tour and understand the very important process that goes into making beer.

Staying in
If taking time out as a visitor you could always view the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ or you may have some online plans. If winter is really upon us why not stay indoors where you can play at Betway, casino games can be played for free. Variations include mobile, live and online. Finally you could dust off the Monopoly set, Amazon are currently selling a winter/Halloween themed one which looks great if overpriced. You could compare and contrast the great talent you have seen over the years with some of the efforts that appear on the conclusion to the X Factor, there is even an app where you can buzz artists in real time at home.

Breakfast with Santa

December
On the 6th why not have ‘Breakfast with Santa’ at the Aylsham Pavilion. Tickets include a choice of bacon or sausage sandwich and also include a drink and cereal too, children then have an opportunity to meet Santa and receive a present from him. The morning also includes making some Christmas crafts to take home and then finishes with a story read by Santa himself, tickets are £5 per child and £3 per adult. This is an unusual and welcome twist on Christmas which children should remember and forever link Bacon to Christmas from then on!

Norwich City Football club continue their return to the Premier League, and you could catch home games against Arsenal (29th Nov), Everton (12th Dec) and Aston Villa on 28th December.

If the worst winter since the 1950’s does occur then there is a wide range of activities on offer here in Suffolk and Norfolk, if the snow is six foot deep why not dig out the sledge.

This area has many pleasant areas so we encourage you to mix the inside with the out and enjoy your time whether you are a resident or visiting the area for the first time – whatever the weather!
