After hundreds of entries were received from loved up romantics in Norwich for BID/VisitNorwich’s Valentine’s competition, winner Christine Hendry will present her personalised declaration of love to her husband, Ian.

Christine’s personal projection will shine like a star onto one of Norwich’s most iconic buildings, the Castle, from 6pm on Tuesday 13 February, Valentine’s Eve.  Her message being, “Ian, 23 years on and still you thrill me. Christine”

The judging panel described Christine’s entry as a wonderful and romantic love story.  After becoming childhood friends aged 11, they eventually became a couple just before Ian’s 30thbirthday.  Since then they have never had a day apart and aged 53, they married in Norwich Castle in December 2016.  Christine explained that they have “been laughing together for over 40 years” and how “Ian is the only person who can consistently surprise me.”

As well as viewing their personal projection on the 13th February  – when they will be presented with flowers, English champagne and chocolates – they will also be featured in a Valentine’s Day projection the following day.
